Electric Chair

After reading this post about the electric chair I feel that it is a way of torturing someone. It is basically making a person suffer and then killing them. I think that the electric chair was abad way of dealing with the situation. A lethal injection would have been more appropriate for these types of problems.

Electric Chair

After reading the article I feel that the author of the short story didn't show much feeling towards the victims of the electric chair. They did receive the death penalty, but to be electrocuted to death is making the person suffer before they actually die; some would even say torture.

When considering the title of Errol Morris's 1999 documentary film and looking back over recent content posted to the Metro Line, what do you think this film is about? Additionally, the filmmaker gave it a subtitle The Rise and Fall of Fred A. Leuchter Jr., who might Fred Leuchter be, and what is implied by his "Rise and Fall"?

Who Killed Topsy?

More importantly, what was the reasoning behind the toppling of this seemingly gentle giant? What are your thoughts?

Death Penalty

I am totally against the death penalty because to me there's no point. To me it does not make any sense at all to spend money to have people sentenced to death when they could just spend life in prison, no case is that serious even if the person killed someone they shouldn't be killed. They should just be sentenced to life in prison. It's not our place or anyone's to judge whether someone dies or not.
