    - What makes one story more important than another is the amount of people it affects.The proximity, and the subuject of the story. Ex. a murder trial would get more buzz then the opening of a park.

    - The characteristics that make one story more important than another is:

    - How useful the imformation is
    - The type of reaction it gets out of people
    - The amount of people that will read it
