Memorable Learning Experience:

A memorable learning experience would be going to New York, with the senior class. At the Metropolitan Museum of Art I learned more about American and Egyptian History.
The Egyptian way of life is an interesting one; they were very advanced for their time period. The jewelry they were was absolutely amazing, and I for one would definitely wear some of their pieces.  The clothing seemed light and airy would be useful with their hot climate. The mummies and way of preservation is far beyond their years and its crazy how the artifacts can last thousands of years. They made everything to last for years. In the section of American History I learned more about the times of the knights and the way they lived. All of their furniture was small and seemed to be built for slim people. Rooms were done very extravagant and used to show wealth and status. Most of their objects were made out of silver and gold. Jewelry seemed to be heavy and very exaggerated. It was a positive learning experience that allowed us to walk around the museum and see things that we had interest in.
In the city of Harlem we got to walk around and shop, as well as explore the city. I learned a little more about how the train works, and where to catch it. I’ve been on the subway a couple times so I know how it works and how to get on one. Lunch at Sylvia’s was nice and relaxing to be able to spend some time socializing with my fellow seniors; was nice and something we do not get to do often. Most of the senior’s leaver early, work has a college class or a sport to do. So we hardly ever see each other but the trip to New York was very nice and I enjoyed everyone’s company.
