  1. Warhol to me is trying to explain from the picture that the "electric" chair is horriable, & that he is/ wants to get peoples attention on how bad the electric chair is & to get peoples attention on his painting.

  2. Warhol made this painting to make us think on how we think of the electric chair and of capital punishment. He paints it mostly yellow with some black spots, making it look almost peaceful but the darkness makes it also look evil and mysterious.

  3. I like Andy Warhol's creativity because no artist that i could think of would create a "Floor Burger" or a "Campbells Soup" or even a painting of an "Electric Chair". Who would do a painting of a Electric Chair or a sculpture of a Burger?!?!?!, no one would. He sure did like to do some very creative but odd creations, but i think thats what makes Mr. Warhol a unique artist, his creativity.

  4. I think that Andy Warhol is trying to say that electric chair is inhumane. We need to stop using the electric chair to kill people and just find another way to use capital punishment.

  5. I think the picture of the electric chair is scary. And Warhol is trying to tell us that the electric chair is inhumane

  6. So its like the painting was to make people think that the electric chair was not serious shocking or tromatizing. Which is really deceiving. They should show the actual picture of what happens.

  7. I think that Andy Warhol tried to use the neon background color to de-sensitize the fear usally associated with this kind of topic.
