Geoffrey Canada: Is an American social activist and educator, since 1990 Canada has been president of and CEO of the Harlem Children's Zone. An organization dedicated to increase the rates of High School and College graduation rates.

Michelle Rhee: A public figure involved in the American education system, In late 2010, she founded Student First, a non profit, tax exempt political advocacy organization. Which works on education reform issues ex. teacher tenure.

Randi Weingarten: She is an American labor leader, attorney and educator, the current president of the American Federation of Teachers. The AFT is to represent the economic, social, and professional interests of classroom teachers and is an affiliated international union.

Regionald Mayo: Is the superintendent of the New Haven public schools, is a seasoned leader whose 37 years as an educator has cumliated an remarkable growth in the New Haven public schools.

Tenure: Is a guarantee of the permanence of a college or university teachers postiton, awarded upon successful completion of the probationary period usually 7 years.
